Intended Use: Disposable cold snares perfectly balance high quality with cost effectiveness. Available in different shapes, configurations and sizes to suit different clinical needs. Used for cutting small or medium sized polyps in the gastrointestinal tract.
Produced with sheath in PTFE and snare with twisted wire. The snares are available in standard sizes, as well as micro and macro versions, and in mono and polyfilament. Polyfilament is usually used for the removal of polyps, while monofilament is stiffer and is a good alternative for resection of flat lesions. The snares have 3-ring handles. Delivered in boxes of 10 pieces, sterile packaged.
Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) are methods of choice for the removal of early tumorous changes in the gastrointestinal tract. If the lesion is removed with a snare, it is called an EMR procedure. For large lesions to be ablated en bloc, the ESD procedure is suitable using special electrosurgical knives.
